Earlier this week I shared our new dining chairs from Wayfair. I’ve wanted to replace our old chairs for a few years now with something that is less farmhouse and more transitional. I had my eye on several styles and landed on the Boid solid wood chair. I love the silhouette & that they’re solid wood, they’ll last for years!

When I posted this reel on IG, I got a lot of questions about my rule on mixing wood tones. While I don’t really have a “rule”, I do try to stick to one undertone. In my home I like to use warm undertones, and then mix in different shades. My table is darker wood and I chose a more mid tone for my chairs. I try to stay away from anything that has too much grey in it. When you first start mixing woodtones it might feel a little off, especially if everything you have is already a super similar color. The more tones you mix in, the more intentional it will feel. Start small– try adding in frames (like mine) or other decor. It’s a much more affordable way to add multipule wood tones.
If you’re wanting to refresh your dining room in time for the holidays too, Wayfair has everything you need! I’ve gathered some of my favorites dining chairs below! You can also see more of our dining room makeover here.
