Hosting season is officially here and I wanted to create an earthy fall tablescape that can easily transition from fall to winter. Wayfair’s entertaining selection has so many great pieces. I thought it might be helpful to share a few table setting tips to keep things simple, yet elevated and seasonal. Below I am sharing my stress-free formula for setting a beautiful and enjoyable table.

STRESS-FREE FORMULA FOR SETTING THE PERFECT FALL TABLESCAPE

01 Table linens – I love to incorporate a neutral tablecloth that could easily transition from one season to the next.

02 Chargers or Placemats – Using either of these instantly takes a fall tablescape from standard family dinner to dinner party. I love the unique shape of these oval chargers.

03 Stoneware Dinnerware – This beautiful creamy stoneware with the subtle contrast gives an “effortlessly elevated” vibe.

04 Napkins – Because I did a solid linen tablecloth, I wanted to add some pattern & interest to the table with my napkins. Again, I love how these particular ones can be used in any season. The eyelet detail around the edge is so sweet.

05  Flatware – I wanted the flatware to add a little sparkle to the table so I chose these gorgeous polished gold beauties.

06 Stemware – I wanted to create some juxtaposition from the earthy vibe happening so far, and these modern wine glasses are just the ticket.

07 Candlelight – Candlelight is the best way to create a warm and inviting setting… I like to use non scented candles on our table so no smells are competing with what is being served. These oversized wooden taper holders really emphasize the earthy feeling.

08 Greenery – I always incorporate some sort of foliage to my tablescapes. It’s the best way to soften the look & bring “life” to the space. For this centerpiece I kept in simple by using a moody floral (similar).

09 Place cards – Add place cards if you want to get a little extra fancy and keep your guests from asking “where should I sit?”. I saw these petite gold pumpkins and fell in love! They’re just the touch of obvious fall this table needed.
