You don’t have to bring in all the pumpkins, red, yellow and orange to decorate your home for fall, but you totally can if you want to! I prefer a more subtle touch. Sometimes I add pumpkins around Halloween, but they’re usually in white or a dusty shade of green. The rest of the season I use these 4 easy fall decor ideas to make our home feel cozy and festive.

Add Fall Stems

The easiest fall decor, and maybe the most affordable way to bring fall into your home is by switching your stems. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on stems (I’ve linked a few of my favorites at every price point below) or any money if you shop your back yard. Some of my favorite arrangements are just a branch taken from a tree, big and impactful, they make a beautiful statement. I also like to use faux stems because well, they last forever! I don’t have to worry about a mess and they’re handy when I’m ready to update our indoor spaces, even if the outdoors aren’t quite there yet. You can shop a bunch of my favorite faux options here.

Switch Out Your Pillow Covers

I love to change out at least a few of my pillow covers seasonally as well. You definitely don’t have to swap them all. Making two or three intentional changes can easily update the space to make it feel fresh and inviting. They don’t have to cost a lot either, pillows can add up fast! Incorporate Seasonal Artwork

Changing out artwork is probably my favorite way to invite the season in to our home and it can be really affordable! I usually purchase 4-5 digital prints at the beginning of each season (they’re almost always less than $5), then I have them printed at a variety of places from Walgreens, to Costco, to custom printing. When you purchase the digital copy it should come with several size options for printing. I love that it doesn’t cost much and that when the season comes back around I already have options to choose from if I want. I rounded up a bunch of faves here!

Add A Fall Scent

They say your sense of smell can change your mood, transport you back to a distant memory, and even enrich your experience of the world around you.
