I want to share a little about my origin story and how ‘Lindsey Pedey’ evolved to become a brand, interior design & styling business, brand ambassador, blogger, influencer, teacher and so much more.

I’ve always appreciated great design, literally for as long as I can remember. Strolling the home decor isles as a kid, flipping through Better Homes & Gardens daydreaming of a home that might someday be as polished. Getting married & decorating our first apartment, moving into our first house because apartment living just wasn’t for us, and finally buying our first home.

The Slow Burn

The last 9 years has been a slow burn to this moment. We definitely couldn’t afford anything close to a magazine worthy home, so my dreams took a backseat and photography took the wheel. I practiced & shot almost daily for 2 years. My skills increased exponentially, people were asking for me to take their photos & so Lindsey Pedey Photography was born. But it didn’t last long. Photography was put on hold and my journey into motherhood began. Been momming hard since 2016.  

In 2018 we stumbled across our dream property and bought it before it could go on the market. My dream of having a gorgeous home flickered, but we were a long way off, we still had to build it. We decided a custom home would suit our family’s needs best and I started designing. All the years I spent dreaming what it would be like were put to good use.

I decided I wanted to document as much of the process as I could and share it on Instagram. Finding people that were willing to share the build experience was tough, I wanted to share what I could with whoever would listen. My background in photography helped to document our experience, people followed, the best community I could ask for came together. Our home is (mostly) completed and now I’m being asked to design others homes, and so Lindsey Pedey Interiors & Styling was born. I’m so honored that people want my design advice. It still blows me away. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you!
